Grethe Myklebust is a physiotherapist and professor of sports medicine at Oslo Sports Trauma Research center at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Grethe is an authorized sports physiotherapist FIA.

She has twenty years of experience as a physiotherapist for the women's national teams in handball, football and beach volleyball. She has been part of the health team at the Seoul and Sydney Olympics.

Grethe has many years of experience as a board member of the Sports Physiotherapy group (FIA), of which several years as deputy chair. She has been a member of the medical commission of the International Handball Federation (IHF) for two years. Been a longtime member of the ACL study group.

She finished her PhD in 2003 (Prevention of ACL injuries in handball, from Injury to Prevention”). Her research activity is primarily focused on injuries in handball and football, especially shoulder, knee, and ankle injuries, as well as their prevention. She has received national and international recognition for her work especially with the prevention of injuries in sports.She is a widely used lecturer at home and abroad.
