CV

Eirik Kristianslund is a MD from the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2012. In 2007 he was admitted to the Medical Student Research Program at the Faculty of Medicine. Eirik started his research in January 2007 with one year leave from his medical studies to work with the project "Risk factors for non-contact ACL injuries in elite female team handball players - A prospective cohort study".

For the study year 2010-11, Eirik has chosen to focus on fulltime research on his project.

His main research area is biomechanics, especially 3D motion analysis. In 2003 he represented Norway in the International Physics Olympiad. This, together with his studies in mathematics and physics at the University of Oslo, makes a solid background for research in this area.

Eirik is a dedicated sailor; in 2002 he became the best junior in the National Laser Sailing Championship.
