Ben Clarsen
PT PhDCV
Ben Clarsen har en bachelorgrad i fysioterapi fra Sydney University i perioden 1996 to 2001. Han har avsluttet sine masterstudier i idrettsfysioterapi på Norges Idrettshøgskole i 2010.
Fra høsten 2010 har Ben jobbet på prosjektet "Belastningsskader i idretten". Dette prosjektet ble avsluttet med an doktorgradsdisputas i Januar 2015, hvor Ben forsvarte sin avhandling på "Overuse injuries in sport - Development, validation and application of a new surveillance method". Ben er fortsatt aktivt i forskningsmiljøet og er ansvarlig for helsemonitoreringen av de norske eliteutøvere knyttet opp til Olympiatoppen.
Ben jobber også som fysioterapeut, og generelt veldig interessert i belastningskader hos idrettsutøvere. Han har en fortid som fysioterapeut i forskjellige profesjonelle sykkellag, samt det australske landslaget. Han har jobbet i Tour de France og UCI Pro-Tour i flere sesonger.
Ben er tidligere landslagsroer og har en sølvmedalje fra U23-VM i 1997.
