Svend Ulstein is a MD and board certified specialist in orthopeadic surgery at Akershus University hospital. There, he is sharing his full time position between 50% research and 50% clinical work.
Svend´s PhD work is concentrating on cartilage injuries in ACL injured patients. His supervisors are Dr. Jan Harald Røtterud and professor Asbjørn Årøen (both PhD students themselves at the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center).
Svend has published 4 papers on this subject matter and defended his PhD thesis defence in June 2019.
