Cathrine Nørstad Engen (b. 1985) is a medical doctor and defended her PhD «Knee cartilage surgery: epidemiology, research methods and a proposal for improved surveillance» in June 2017. She performed most of the work at the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center, although she was enrolled at the PhD program at the University of Oslo.

Cathrine is a resident in the department of Pathology at Akershus University Hospital, and she is also the medical doctor for the Norwegian female elite soccer team, “LSK kvinner”. Cathrine is assistant supervisor for Katherine Wang.
